Wednesday afternoon art students explored new methods of painting recently.
Students investigated painting with paint scrapers.
The focus was on using the primary colors of paint along with a layer of crayon.
Everyone had the opportunity to use many different tools in the process.
Everyone had fun exploring the limits of the tools, paint and their new techniques.
“If you could say it with words there would be no need for painting.” Through this project students were given an opportunity to understand this idea from Edward Hopper.
Here are some examples of the students’ work.
