Opening Night for 2012 Photography Contest & Exhibition


 

An opening reception and awards ceremony was held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 5:00 pm at the Art Junction where the cash prizes were awarded.

This photography exhibition, Willard, Ohio…Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow continues every Friday and Saturday evening from 4:30 to 7:00 pm at the Art Junction.  This is a great opportunity to view the images of 10 area photographers.

Honorable Mention –Alec Casto, Willard, OH for his image titled “Looking At the Old Chicken Coop”.

Come and experience the Willard area through new eyes, exploring the Firelands as you may not have seen them before, from traditional to digital and manipulated photographic images.  Sharing and exploring the beauty of your community awakens your senses to the environment we live in which most of us take for granted.  Come view this exciting new exhibition!

Matthew Ramsey, Photographer, juried this exhibit.  Ramsey states, “The photography in this exhibit is very strong and gives the viewer a unique and wonderful view of the area that most casual viewers would not see.  This exhibit is a must see!”

1st Place Winner– Jim Funk, Willard, OH for his image titled “Fading Into the Past”.

2nd Place Winner– Allison Cogar-Zeigler, Willard, OH for her image titled “The Trail”.

3rd Place Winner– Alec Casto, Willard, OH for his image titled “Nature Reflecting Itself”.

Honorable Mention –Jen Farrell, Willard, OH for her image titled “Iron Road”.
